The 53rd Annual Meeting of the Illinois Archaeological Survey will be held in Springfield, Illinois in September of 2009. The conference will be hosted by the Illinois State Musuem. Insofar as 2009 is the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth, the conference theme will be on the life and cultural context of the 16th President of the United States.
