Angel Learning is an integrated online course management tool. In this class, we are going to be using Angel for several essential functions:

• Discussion: You will be required to post to discussion forums in the Angel environment. Angel will track when and how often you post.

• Testing: You will be taking your quizzes online in the Angel environment. Angel will score your quizzes and give you instant feedback.

• Grading: Your assignments will be graded and recorded online. You can check your progress in this class using Angel (click on "Tools").

• Attendance: Your attendance will be taken and recorded online. You can check your attendance record using Angel (click on "Tools").

Your Angel username is the first part of your Parkland email address (the part that comes before the @ symbol). Your default Angel password is the last five digits of your social security number. If you need any help with your Angel login, see your instructor.

Once you have entered Angel, you can change your password (My Page > Preferences > Change Password). Changing your Angel password does not change your email password.

It is highly recommended that you forward your course email to your primary email address (My Page > Preferences > System Settings). Under "forwarding mode," choose "Forward my course mail and mark as read in course."

Once you have forwarded your email, you may wish to subscribe to the discussion forums (select the "Communications" tab and click "Subscribe" on each forum you wish to subscribe to).
