Example 1

 

 

Objective: I want to obtain employment as a web professional

Target audience: Successful managers and business owners

Psychological profile of target audience: Usually male, ages 30 to 50, they are hard-working, dedicated, and usually very well educated in their area of expertise. They are strongly tied to their communities and often write letters to editors and elected officials. They are usually financially secure, own their own home and donate money to charity. Politically conservative, they value reliability over trendiness. They are media saavy and read newspapers and trade magazines regularly.

 

 

 

Example 2

 

 

Objective: I want to share my interests with other like-minded teens

Target audience: Smart, open-minded teens

Psychological profile of target audience: Ages 14 to 18, they are curious about the world around them and like to explore. They are interested in books, music, movies, and games. Technologically, they are very "wired," connecting with others via email, IM and cell phones. They enjoy hanging out with friends and like having fun. Although they are very busy with school, family and jobs, they always make time for things they are interested in.
