Lesson 1: Image Optimization
Instructor: Paul Young

Overview

Preparing raster (bitmap) images for the web is a balancing act between quality and download speed. Fireworks gives you the tools to optimize your picture elements to the smallest possible file for fast downloading.

In this lesson, we'll work with a typical digital camera photograph and optimize it for the web. Then we'll use Fireworks's special effects tools to enhance the image creatively.
