Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Discussion

In the appropriate Conference on our WebBoard
(Your Group; QE), answer one or both of the following questions (and I
really mean answer the questions. Points will be deducted for not
sticking to the questions):

Like many makeover shows, QE
focuses primarily on superficial changes (clothes, decorating,
grooming). Unlike many makeover shows, QE also focuses on
behavioral changes: being more attentive, taking responsibility for
things both large and small, etc. To what extent do you see
non-superficial changes being made in this episode? What is the
motive behind those changes?

What kinds of traditionally
non-masculine activities/values/behaviors are introduced to the
straight guy? How does the show persuade both him and the viewer
that these are acceptably masculine things?
