Carrie pp 197-End

Directions:  In the appropriate conference on our class Discussion Board, discuss at least three of the following.

Now that you have an idea of some of the themes of the book, we're going to switch back to more free-form discussion.
Instead of responding to specific prompts, I'm opening the floor for you to discuss things that are of interest to you, with a  few restrictions:  Again, you might consider looking at aspects of the whole novel instead of just this final section.
  1. While you're welcome to post about something that's interesting you and catching your eye, you need to go beyond "like" and "don't like."  Things like, "I'm finding the different types of narrative interesting/distracting/etc..." are analytical and literary.  "God, this book is so boring" is not.
  2. You'll want to think about the different types of things we've discussed so far: themes, character development, symbolism, narrative technique, etc.
  3. Be sure to post at least five sentences.
