Directions:  In the appropriate conference on our class WebBoard, discuss one or all of the following.
  1. The narrator tells us a great deal about Dee before she ever shows up in the story.  Discuss the significance of:
    1. The narrator's fantasy about meeting Dee on television.
    2. The story of the fire
    3. The descriptions of Maggie.
  2. What is the significance of the title, "Everyday Use?" 
  3. What does the story say about Dee and her quest to reclaim her "heritage?"
