Scott's Fall 2007 Schedule

 

Monday: I teach Csc 123 from 10:00 to 12:30.  I will be in my office from about 12:30 until I have helped everyone who needs me.  I'll usually stay to work until about 2:00.    From 2:00 to 4:00 I'll be home, including dinner.  From 4:00 to 5:50 I teach Csc 150 Wireless Networking and from 6:00 to 8:20 I teach Csc 123 Hybrid section.    I'll be in B226 or my office from about 6:00 until I have helped everyone who needs me.
   
Tuesday: I teach Csc 125 from 1:00 to 3:50.  I will be in X 130 or my office from about 4:00 until I have helped everyone who needs me.
   
Wednesday: I teach Csc 123 from 10:00 to 12:30.  I will be in my office from about 12:30 until I have helped everyone who needs me.  From 2:00 to 4:00 I'll be home, including dinner.  From 4:00 to 5:50 I teach Csc 150 Wireless Networking.  I'll be in B226 or my office from about 6:00 until I have helped everyone who needs me.
   
Thursday: I teach Csc 125 from 1:00 to 3:50.  I will be in X 130 or my office from about 4:00 until I have helped everyone who needs me.
   
Friday: If I come in on Friday, I will post a notice here while I am at Parkland and you are welcome to walk in or telephone for help.

 

Many students are reluctant to ask for help when they need it.  Don't be that way.  You (and the taxpayers of Illinois) are paying for my services.  Use them!   Asking for help will never adversely affect your grade, no matter how behind or confused you are in the class.  Hopefully my help will have a positive affect on your grade.  I'd be a lousy teacher if it didn't.
Getting help from me is easy -- just come by my class room after any class, or wait by my office until I come back from class (which may be a while, if a lot of students need help at the end of class).  It doesn't matter if you are in that class or not.  I'll always help everyone that is waiting for help after any of my classes, day or night, and I'll always return to my office after class to see if anyone is waiting.  The only exception is if I have a Parkland committee meeting or some other scheduled obligation, which is rare.  In that case I'll post a special announcement in my daily hours above. 
I will always have the door open and pick up the phone when I am in the office.  You are not restricted to any specific times to get my help.  (Well, 2 am is not so good).  If you see me, anywhere, and I'm not going to some scheduled obligation, you'll get my help.
