Test 2 -- Selection if, if-else, and switch statements

Material Covered:

• The topics in Selection Part 1 and Selection Part 2, including the readings from Wu: Sections 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 5.5.
• The Selection Practice Problems -- study hint: do all of them! 

Questions:

• 10 multiple choice, multiple-answer multiple choice, matching, fill-in-the-blank, or multiple-fill-in-the-blank questions. 
• 2 tasks on the computer: You will be given two problem descriptions that are very similar to, or possibly even exactly the same as, the Selection Practice Problems.  You must implement both problems in programs you write.  You will be allowed to use the 3 -  input Input/Output program we developed in class.

Environment:

• The 10 questions will be administered on Angel at the beginning of the class period.
• The 2 computer problems will be administered on your computer.
• You will have the entire period to complete the test.
• Show your 2 computer program to the teacher for immediate grading.
• Individual work with help from the teacher only.  Closed book, closed notes, closed Internet, closed e-mail, closed computer except for JCreator.   You are not allowed to get code from any source except the 3-input Input/Output program.

Grading:

• 10 points for the 10 questions administered on Angel.
•   5 points for each of the two problems
• 20 points total for the test.
