Recursion

Comments

     Recursion is extremely important theoretically.  Modern compilers are all implemented with some form of recursive analysis of your program.  Also, it is one of the underpinnings of the fundamental definitions of mathematics.  That's pretty important.  However, except for certain algorithms, it is not extensively used in programming.  All good programmers do know how to use it, however.  It is one of the techniques that they can use when useful.

    You will have the choice for Project 4 whether to use recursion or to use a stack.

    Only available Friday, October 20th, from 6:00 am to 3:00 am Saturday morning on Angel.  It will cover the following material:   

• Conceptual questions or questions about code, all based on material covered in the Week 10 Course Content, Recursion.   In addition to the recursive code for the Fibonacci Series and walk of a Binary Search Tree in the content, I may also ask about recursive code I supply that implements some other algorithm.
