A brief introduction to the rigorous mathematical definitions
of Graphs and Trees.

This mathematics is very different from the mathematics you
have learned in Algebra or Calculus. It is based extensively on set
theory. It is nonetheless part of an important branch of mathematics,
because it has lead to very fundamental and useful theorems. (Even the
term "branch of mathematics" is related to the concepts of tree
theory!).
Readings
Class notes only. This material is not in the book,
nor will it be included in any graded exercises.
